Why Junior Fitness?
Tennis is a front loaded sport, which in the long run can become an injury time bomb. To counter act the imbalance created by the sport we offer supplemental junior fitness programs, private and group workouts sessions.
In most cases all junior tennis player develop their motor skills, and muscle groups at different rate. Some of the main factors affecting the physical development of the children are the biologically inherited genetics in addition to prior fitness experiences. Other factors that affect the muscle development are related to the development of the synapses in the brain, the different types of muscle groups, and the different muscle qualities. All of the above develop at a different rate based on their children’s age group and in some cases gender, For example:
• The most excellent time to develop speed is age 9 through 15
• The speed-endurance development pick starts at age 14 for girls, and age 15.5 for boys
• The best stage to develop endurance is after age 11
• Coordination is best developed before age 15
• Flexibility is best achieved after age 13
• The pure muscle strength grows with most rapid rate after age 16
